 LOS ANGELES --

An elementary school teacher in Monterey Park is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on charges of molesting female students at his school.

Police said Edward Portillo, 58, was a teacher at Bella Vista Elementary School. He was arrested on Jan. 27 and charged with four counts of committing lewd acts on a child.

Portillo's bail was set at $400,000.
