I was responsible for 20 million dollars worth of contracts for the company. Negotiated telecommunications contracts worldwide. Also during Presidential trips acted as the back-up military aid to the President in the event of an emergency always carrying the back-up "Football" Signal Corps Officer various locations worldwide.
I enlisted in the Iowa Army National Guard as an electronic repairman. I was repaired all electronic equipment to the component level. I rose from the rank of private to sergeant and served as the battalion recruiting and retention manager. I attended Officer Candidate School and was commissioned a second lieutenant. I went on in the US Army at that point and served as an officer in ever greater responsibilities, I served in various command positions around the word two commands as a company grade officer and two as a field grade officer. I directed up to 350 personnel supporting over 50,000 US military with all information systems support. Always responsible for 24 hour 7 day a week support. Responsible for multi million dollar budgets and at times responsible for well over a billion dollars in equipment and the health and welfare of hundreds personnel under my command. I retired from the Army from my last assignment as the Director of Emergency Operations for the President of the United States.
